Richard S. McKernon Youth Fishing Tournament

  • May 4, 2019
  • 12:00 - 2:00 pm
  • Registration begins at 11:30 am.
  • Held at Stevens Park Pond off Seneca Chase Park Road
All youths between the ages of 6 and 16 are invited to come on out and "catch some fun".  Cost is $1.00 and the event is held rain or shine.

Congratulations to our 2018 winner, Ashley Davidson, with a 23 inch Channel Catfish!

Little goblins & ghouls can prowl the streets of Poolesville in search of goodies from participating homes and businesses between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.Please only visit homes where the porch lights are on!
Trick or Treat

Holiday Lighting Contest
Judging takes place the 3rd weekend in December. All homeowners and merchants in the Poolesville town limits are invited to "deck their halls" and show their holiday spirit. The rules for the competition are available online (PDF).

For homeowners we have 3 categories:
  • Contemporary
  • Townhouse
  • Traditional
One business will also be chosen as most appreciated.

Fisher Avenue will be the dividing line with 1 winner from each category selected from each side of town.
