Am I allowed to raise chickens, poultry or birds of any kind?: Raising or keeping of chickens, poultry, or birds of any kind is not permissible within the Town limits, except for properties zoned RDT, (25 acres) or as a special exception in PRD 2+ (2+ acres). This issue has been discussed and upheld in 2009, 2013 and 2015.

Residents qualify to vote in the Poolesville town elections through registration with the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors of Elections.
