[ARCHIVED] Reminder: Planning Commission Position Open

Volunteers needed

Poolesville is looking for volunteers to fill one Planning Commission Member position. Applicants must be residents of the Town for at least six (6) months and share a strong interest in keeping Poolesville the gem it is! The Commissioners interview these applicants.

The Planning Commission consists of 5 town residents, of which one is a Commissioner of Poolesville and serves in an ex officio capacity. The volunteer members serve for 5-year terms and meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

The Poolesville Commissioners and the Planning Commission share the responsibility for directing future growth in the Town. They review ordinances and development plans, and in many cases, they make recommendations to the Commissioners, the legislative body that takes final action on adopting ordinances.
