Poolesville is looking for volunteers to fill three vacancies, one Planning Commission Member, one Board of Zoning Appeals Member and one Parks Board Member. Applicants need to be residents of the Town for at least six (6) months and share a strong interest in keeping Poolesville the gem that it is! These applicants are interviewed by the Commissioners.
These Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals are boards of citizen volunteers appointed by the Town Commissioners who make decisions and/or recommendations on planning related matters including the Comprehensive Plan, zoning issues and the Poolesville Code. Meetings and public hearings of the boards are an important public forum where public opinion and advice becomes part of the Town’s records and decision-making process.
The Park's Board is an advisory board to the Commissioners that review and make recommendations regarding park projects, trails, sidewalks and more.
