Montgomery County Boards and Commissions

The Fair Access Committee was established because our area has been chronically overlooked regarding county decisions about policies and budget matters that affect our residents. The largely rural Western County residents face different challenges than those of the rest. Yet, membership of Montgomery County boards, committees, and commissions is populated primarily by people outside our area, unaware of our local context. We seek to change that and bring Western County voices to these groups' important conversations. To that end, The Fair Access Committee highly encourages folks from Western County to apply to serve on County Boards, Committees, and Commissions. The County Executive and County Council establish these boards, and county leaders pay attention to the advice these groups provide. Ensuring our local perspective is represented in deliberations can significantly impact the well-being of our community. Please check the vacancy list regularly, and feel free to reach out ot members of Fair Access if you have any questions.
