The County will soon roll out a website with information on the ongoing MoCo/Loudoun studies that residents can access and register for more updates to come directly to their devices. Until then, here are a few updates:

• June 23 both Montgomery and Loudoun county DOTs hosted comprehensive study kickoff with relevant public stakeholders and nearby local jurisdictions with ferry operations. Attendees included MDOT, VDOT, US Coast Guard, NPS, and more. Relationship has been established between stakeholders and study consultants.
• Study is underway and on target for completion on time within 90 day timeframe established.
• Both counties have established websites to share any information on the studies and general updates to the public. Look for an announcement of those website and how they will be used in the coming week.
• Loudoun County-- it is public knowledge that the County intends to make an offer to the private owner in the future, but needs to have survey plat, deed, title work, appraisal performed to present a land offer to the owner to consider acquisition. Proceeding with standard process. 
• Loudoun County has completed procurement for land surveyor and appraiser. Survey processes have commenced, with title work complete. Next step will be notification to property owner
