NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on June 15, 2020 at 7:00 PM at 19721 Beall Street, Poolesville, Maryland for the purpose of the Commissioners of Poolesville receiving public comment on Proposed Ordinance 214. The proposed ordinance is to amend the Zoning Code of the Town of Poolesville by adding a new Subsection “L” to Section 13, “General Provisions”, for the purpose of reconciling the interest of the community relating to health, safety, traffic, property values and the welfare of the community, especially in terms of traffic impacts and potential incompatibility with adjoining uses, with the economic interest and public needs relating to automobile filling stations. Copies of the proposed ordinance is available at Town Hall and online at www.poolesvillemd.gov.

The Town Hall is closed to the public due to the COVID-19 Virus. This Hearing will be held virtually via Youtube.com. Search “Poolesville”. Click the “Filter” Icon and Click “Today”. The Town Commissioners Meeting will be visible. A link is also on the Town Webpage under “Poolesville News”. The meeting starts at 7:00 PM, you will only be able to see the meeting once it starts. To present public comments, please call Town Hall by noon on June 15th for further information. Written comments are also accepted and must be received by 4:00 PM on Friday, June 12th.
