Love Your Heart

Join us in a discussion to learn strategies to promote heart health and prevent or manage heart diseases. 

Instructor: Leni Barry MA, BSN, RN-BC, CDE

Leni is a registered nurse who specializes in Cardiovascular Health and Wellness, and Chronic Disease Management. She is Board Certified in Gerontology, has her Masters in Health Promotion Counseling, and is a Certified Diabetes Educator.

Go Further With Food!

Whether it's starting the day off right with a healthy breakfast or fueling before an athletic event, the foods you choose can make a difference. Preparing foods to go further at home and within the community can have a positive impact, as well. As nutrition experts, we can help people adopt healthier eating styles, while reducing food loss and waste.

Overcoming Addiction 

Join Korey Shorb, recovering addict and Founder of the Up & Out Foundation, as he addresses the importance of good decision making and how that can lead an individual in a more positive direction and lay the foundation for success in life.  Mr. Shorb will utilize his own personal experiences to reinforce how good decisions can make all the difference in an individual's life, especially when it comes to addiction and substance abuse.

Lyme 101

Lyme disease is prevalent in Maryland.  This class covers prevention, recognition, and adjusting to living with Lyme.  If you or a family member have been affected by this disease, this is the seminar for you!

Instructor: Christina Murphy - Christina is a Mom, Grand Mom, dog lover and recuperating Lyme patient who became a certified Health Coach through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. She became a Lyme Certified Care Coach in 2013. She is a published Author of “Embracing Healing:  A Slow Down Thirty Day Practice” and works, loves and lives in the Frederick MD area.
