[ARCHIVED] Poolesville Biennial Election

Poolesville Biennial Election to be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.

Hours of Voting: 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Polling Place: Poolesville Town Hall
Office to be Filled: Expired Terms of Three Commissioners of the Town of Poolesville - Four-Year Term

Residents may qualify to vote in the Poolesville Town Elections by registering with the Montgomery County Board of Elections. Residents may register with the Montgomery County Board of Elections by calling 240-777-8683. Final date of registration will be October 18, 2016.

Instructions to Candidates for the Office of Commissioner of Poolesville

A. Candidates must be qualified registered voters for the Town of Poolesville; be twenty-one (21) years of age or older at their last birthday preceding the election; have continuously resided within the corporate limits of the Town of Poolesville for at least six (6) months prior to the election; continuously reside within the corporate limits during his or her term of office, and not been convicted of a felony.

B. Not less than thirty (30) days prior to the Election – October 7, 2016 by 4:00 PM - Any Candidate desiring to run for office must file an official application at Town Hall, signed by a minimum of twenty-five (25) residents who are qualified registered voters of the Town of Poolesville, and pay a fee of $10.00.

C. An Ethics Financial Disclosure Form must also be completed and filed at Town Hall no later than October 7, 2016 by 4:00 PM. The Application will not be deemed complete until the Ethics Disclosure Form is completed, submitted and approved by the Poolesville Ethics Commission.
