Kohlhoss Waterline Replacement Project Update

Work will continue on the Kohlhoss waterline project on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024. The contractor will replace and connect the fire hydrants to the new water main. The contractor might temporarily shut off the water service to complete the connection. The contractor will notify homeowners before turning off the water.

The Town's contractor will continue paving the courts that have already completed their service connections; on Wednesday and Thursday of next week, this will be Court 3 (Kohlhoss Rd Court 17511 to 17454 Kohlhoss Rd Odd) and Court 4 (17549 to  17617 Kohlhoss Rd odd), weather permitting. The contractor will work one court at a time and provide notice before the paving begins. Your cars will need to be moved during the paving on your court. If your vehicle has not been moved, then it will be towed by the Town at the owner's expense.

On Monday, October 14th, the Paving contractor will work on Kolhhoss Rd and have traffic control on site. They plan to complete the Kolhoss Rd paving on Thursday and Friday next week.

This work may cause traffic delays in this area, so please plan accordingly. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions, please contact the Town Hall at 301-428-8927 or townhall@poolesvillemd.gov.

 Dog Park Relocation

At the October 9th Park Board meeting, the Parks Board received a presentation from staff on initial ideas about accommodating the dog park at another location due to the future construction of the community Center. This meeting allowed residents to give their input on a new location for the dog park.

The presentation given at that meeting is linked below to continue that conversation. The video of that park board meeting is also available so that residents can learn a little more about the context of this presentation. Please note that this presentation is only the beginning of the process and includes only illustrative examples of where the dog park could go in more detail as we move forward with this process. In addition, there is a link below to a feedback form where residents can share their input or ask questions about these locations.
