Hydrant Flushing

Hydrant Flushing Starts April 11th

The Water Department will be flushing hydrants during the month of April to reduce and remove the accumulation of rust and iron in the water mains. Kohlhoss Water Line Replacement

Starting in May, The Town of Poolesville will begin a water line replacement project. This will replace all of the water lines in the vicinity of Kohlhoss Rd From Cattail Road to Wootton Avenue. The Town is undergoing this project because the water lines in this area are reaching the end of their service life.

This project will last a total of 180 days. The work will be done in sections, and there may be times when you must move your car to accommodate the water line work. The Contractor will have traffic control on site to keep traffic flowing smoothly through the work zone. In addition, there will be times when the town will turn off your water to accommodate the connection of the new water line to your house's water line. The contractor will also work to minimize the time the water is off, and adequate notification will be given.

If you have any questions about this project, please email Town Hall at Townhall@poolesvillemd.gov or call 301-428-8927.
