Call For Volunteers: Board of Zoning Appeals

Poolesville is seeking volunteers to fill one Board of Zoning Appeals Member position. Applicants need to have lived in the Town for at least six (6) months and share a strong interest in keeping Poolesville the gem that it is! The Commissioners interview these applicants.

The Board of Zoning Appeals is a citizen volunteer board appointed by the Town Commissioners that makes decisions and/or recommendations on planning-related matters, including zoning issues and the Poolesville Code. The boards' public hearings are an essential public forum where public opinion and advice become part of the Town's records and decision-making process.

Clearing Sidewalk

As a reminder, Residents and property owners are responsible for the sidewalks in front of their homes and businesses. Under the town code, Property owners have 24 hours to clear their sidewalks after a snow or ice event. Please keep your sidewalks clear of snow and ice, as that helps your fellow neighbors access their cars and helps children walk to school. We appreciate your cooperation. Pick It Up Poolesville

The Sustainable Poolesville Committee and Poolesville Green partner together to sponsor our Pick it up, Poolesville litter initiative. Come out and help keep Poolesville clean. We will have bags available. Please bring your own gloves and trash grabbers if you have them. SSL hours will be available as needed for students in grades 6-12. Be sure to sign in for SSL forms.
