Kohlhoss Waterline Replacement Project Update

On Monday, October 21st, 2024, paving operations will begin on Kohlhoss Road as all major waterline work is complete. The paving project will be done in sections to allow vehicular movement outside the work zone. Kohlhoss Road will be closed to thru traffic during paving operations, and we encourage all residents in this area to exit and enter as described in the following schedule: 


Starting from Wootton Ave, heading towards Cattail Rd


On Monday, October 21st, they will start on Kohlhoss Rd in front of 17500 and end near 17534 Kohlhoss Rd. Court  2 and 3 residents need to exit towards Cattail Rd during this time. For the residents in Court One, we ask them to exit onto Wootton Ave.


On Tuesday, October 22nd, the work will begin near 17545 Kohlhoss Rd and conclude near 17621 Kohlhoss Rd. Residents in Courts 2, 3, and 4 should exit towards Wootton Ave, and the rest of the courts should exit towards Cattail Rd. 


On Wednesday, October 23, the work will be between 17621 and 17661 Kohlhoss Rd. Residents in courts 5 and 6 should exit towards Cattail Rd, and residents in courts 1 through 4 should exit towards Wootton Ave. 


On Thursday, October 24, the work will occur between 17661 Kohlhoss Rd and Cattail Rd. Courts 7 and 8 exit towards Cattail Rd; all other residents should exit towards Wootton Ave. 


On Friday, October 25th, the paving work will conclude on Cattail Road and Wootton Ave at the ends of Kohlhoss Rd. Residents in the townhouses should exit towards Cattail Rd. All other residents should avoid the area.

The Poolesville Area Chamber of  Commerce (PACC) is Hosting the 2024 Poolesville Commissioner Candidate Forum on Sunday, October 20, at 7:00 PM at Poolesville Town Hall. Skate Park

Skate Park Expansion 

Over the next couple of weeks, the town will begin constructing an expansion of the Poolesville skate park. During this project, the skate park will be closed.  We will provide a more detailed timeline once the project next week. Pick It Up Poolesville 

The Sustainable Poolesville Committee and Poolesville Green partner together to sponsor our Pick it up, Poolesville litter initiative.  Come out and help keep Poolesville clean.  We will have bags available.  Please bring your own gloves and trash grabbers if you have them.  SSL hours will be available as needed for students in grades 6 - 12.  Be sure to sign in for SSL forms.  Click on the link below for more information.
