Dog Park
The dog park is in Dr. Dillingham Park, to the left of the playground and skate park. It is a little over 1/3 of an acre, and provides 5,650 square feet of space for small dogs, and 10,560 square feet for large dogs. It also includes a double gated entrance, four benches, two waste stations, and a shared pavilion.
Poolesville Dog Park Rules:
No aggressive behavior.No female dogs in heat.
Dogs must be over 4 months old.
Dogs must be current on standard vaccinations, including: Rabies and DHPP. Bordatella (Kennel Cough), Canine Influenza, Lyme, and Leptospirosis are strongly recommended.
Dogs must be on flea/tick protection.
Dogs must have active parasite control.
Dogs must display current licenses and rabies vaccinations tags.
No dog food allowed inside the park.
Toys can be used at the owners discretion.
No large dogs in the Small Dog Park.
Small dogs are allowed in the Large
Dog Park at the owners discretion.
Dog owners must pick up after their dogs.
Dogs may not be left unattended.
No more than 3 dogs per handler.
Users of the dog park do so at their own risk.
Dog owners are liable for any injuries or damages caused by their dogs.
Dog handlers must be in control and in visual contact with their dogs at all times.
No pet handlers under age 13.
Parents must be in control of their children.
Dog handlers must leash their dogs when outside the park.
No smoking or eating by dog handlers.
No glass or metal containers.
No professional dog training allowed.
Hours of the dog park are the same as the remainder of the park.
