Transportation Choices

Bus
Bus Service between Poolesville and other parts of Montgomery County is provided by the Montgomery County Department of Transportations’ Ride On Program.

Metro
Metro-rail service in the Washington D.C. metro area provided by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Rail
The MARC train is a great way for business commuters to get from the Poolesville area to Washington D.C. or Rockville. MARC’s Brunswick Line serves the Poolesville area. The Dickerson, Barnesville, and Boyds MARC train stops are an easy drive from Poolesville and offer commuter parking.

In a short period of time, electric vehicles have become mainstream. The typical electric vehicle has 1/3 the carbon footprint of an equivalent gasoline car, and uses no petrochemical fuel or lubricants, which have significant impacts on local salmon and wildlife.
